Venezuela had a bye on the first day of competition and debuted this Sunday, the 23rd, in the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal Femenina 2025™ with a solid victory against Bolivia.
The match opened quickly with luck favoring La Vinotinto: from a throw-in by Crespo, the ball rebounded off Ana Rojas, hit the post, and went in.
The rest of the first half saw slight dominance from Venezuela, although goalkeeper Marinel Argüinzones had to block several Bolivian shots.
In the second half, five minutes in, Venezuela extended its lead thanks to a powerful toe-poke shot from Cristina Rivas, following a pass from Fuentes.
The Venezuelan goalkeeper continued her great performance, repeatedly stopping La Verde’s attacks, and with five minutes left, Mike Guerra’s team sealed the victory with a goal from Adrianny Luna.
Venezuela, which finished fourth in the last edition of the tournament, started strong with a win and will face Paraguay on Monday. Meanwhile, Bolivia will seek its first points against Ecuador, also on the third day of competition.
