The first Women’s Futsal World Cup is about to begin, and a CONMEBOL representative, Argentina, will take part in the opening match.
The team led by Nicolás Noriega is in Group A along with the Philippines, Poland and Morocco. They will debut precisely against the African team this Friday, starting at 7 a.m. (Argentina time).
“We expect a tough match because it’s the first game of the World Cup — anything can happen. It’s the first match in a World Cup, so there will surely be a lot of emotions,” said Julia Dupuy to FIFA’s official website.
Colombia will make their debut on Saturday against Canada (4 a.m. Colombia time), and Brazil will do the same on Sunday against Iran.
