The Mercedes-Benz Stadium was inaugurated in 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. It is the home of the Atlanta United (MLS) and the Atlanta Falcons (NFL).
The CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ will have two matches there: it will be the venue for the opening match on June 20, for Group A, between Argentina - the reigning champion - and the tournament debutant (Canada or Trinidad and Tobago), which will be defined in playoffs on March 23.
The other match will be on June 27, for Group C, in one of the two duels between Concacaf teams in the group stage: the United States will play against Panama. With an extensive history in Concacaf tournaments, they have not yet faced each other in the CONMEBOL Copa América™.
In 2019, the Super Bowl was held at this modern and eco-friendly stadium, the first in the United States with LEED Platinum certification, the highest recognition for sustainable construction practices. It combines a retractable roof and solar panels.
As part of the impressive tour that the Rolling Stones will undertake in 2024 in the United States, the Mercedes-Benz Stadium will have its date on June 7, a few weeks before the CONMEBOL Copa América™.
In 2026, it will be one of the stadiums where the FIFA World Cup will be played: five matches of the group stage, one in the Round of 32, one in the Round of 16, and one in the semifinals will be played there.
The start of the CONMEBOL Copa América USA 2024™ is getting closer and closer, and the starting point, on June 20, will be at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
