The youngsters playing their first CONMEBOL Copa America in 2021

The continent’s oldest tournament includes many of the best players in the world who are big established stars looking to make the difference for the side and lift the title.

In addition to the familiar names, the CONMEBOL Copa America 2021 also has an abundance of rising superstars who are looking to establish themselves amongst the elite at this tournament.

For example, Paraguay have the youngest player in this year’s competition. The 17 year old midfielder Julio Enciso has already made an impact for the Albirroja in the teams win against Bolivia.

The tricky Libertad attacking midfielder came on with a few minutes to play for Gabriel Ávalos, a memorable moment he will hope is the first chapter in a storied international career.

Bolivia is another side looking to combine youth and experience. They have already given minutes to interesting 19 year old debutants Jeyson Chura and Jaume Cuéllar.

Chileans Luciano Arriagada, Daniel González and Clemente Montes are all 19 and making an impact, as is the case with Ecuadorians Piero Hincapié, Moisés Caicedoand José Hurtado.

In total, there are 22 players at this CONMEBOL Copa America 2021 who were born in the 21st century, including  Vinicius Júnior (Brazil, 20 years old), from Real Madrid, and Cristian Casseres Jr (Venezuela, 21 years old), who has also debuted at the tournament against Brazil.
