History of the stadium

Bank of America Stadium was built in 1996 to be the home of the NFL's Carolina Panthers. The stadium has capacity for 74,867 fans and has hosted numerous CONCACAF Gold Cup matches in the past, as well as pre-season friendlies for European club teams.

Major League Soccer's Charlotte FC has called Bank of America Stadium its home since 2022, where it set the record for the most attended MLS game of all time, at the time.
