The Asian champion surprises Paraguay after a tie in their debut

Asian champions Qatar surprised on Sunday by coming after a 2-2 tie with Paraguay in Group B of CONMEBOL Copa America Brazil 2019.

The Guaraníes opened the scoring at Maracana Stadium with a penalty scored by Oscar Cardozo in the fourth minute and scored in the 56th minute with an unstoppable shot by Derlis Gonzalez.

The Catharis, who came to the field without complications and missed three goalscoring opportunities, discounted in 68 with a superb shot by Ali Almoez from the edge of the big area that entered the left corner of ‘Gatito’ Fernandez and tied in the minute 77 with a goal by the defense Boualem Khoukhi after a great collective play.

With this result, Guaraníes and Cataríes are second in Group B with 1 point, behind leaders Colombia (3) who beat Argentina the previous Saturday and left them without points.
