Bolivia (CONMEBOL), Suriname, Jamaica (Concacaf), Iraq (AFC), New Caledonia (OFC), and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (CAF) will participate in the playoff.
When and where will the playoff be played?
It will take place between March 23 and 31, 2026, in Guadalajara and Monterrey (Mexico).
How will the playoff be played?
On one side of the bracket, Bolivia and Suriname will meet in one of the semifinals. The winner will face Iraq in the final.
On the other side, New Caledonia and Jamaica will face off in the semifinal. The winner will play DR Congo in the final.
To determine who plays the semifinals and who goes directly to the final, the FIFA Ranking was used, with the two highest-ranked teams entering straight into the final.
The winners of the two finals will qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
When will the 2026 World Cup groups be drawn?
The group draw for the 2026 World Cup will take place on December 5, 2025.
