Three matches of the CONMEBOL Copa América USA 2024™ were played at NRG Stadium: the first was on June 22, for Group B, with Mexico's 1-0 victory over Jamaica.

On June 24, the stadium witnessed Colombia's 2-1 win against Paraguay. The stadium concluded its participation in the tournament on July 4, with the quarter-final match between Argentina and Ecuador; it was an Albiceleste victory in the penalty shootout.

It is the home of the Houston Texans, an NFL team, and is also used for concerts, children's events, or corporate events. For example, the Rolling Stones and Disney on Ice were featured at this great stadium in 2024.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is another major event in which the NRG Stadium will see action. There will be 7 matches: five group stage matches, one round of 32 match, and one round of 16 match.
